Terms of Service
These terms apply to the LangLearn app, website, and optional LangLearn Cloud service. Apple's standard licensed-application terms also apply to the iOS app.
1. The service
LangLearn provides bilingual reading, generated learning articles, translation, speech playback, and an optional AI-assisted conversation workspace. Local Reader features do not require an account. Cloud processing is used only when you select Personal Aliyun or LangLearn Cloud.
2. Accounts and security
LangLearn Cloud uses Sign in with Apple and App Attest. You are responsible for controlling access to your Apple account and device. Do not attempt to bypass attestation, metering, credit, account, or service-security controls.
3. Personal provider mode
If you use a personal Aliyun key, you are responsible for that provider account, its charges, permissions, and compliance with its terms. LangLearn fixes the provider endpoint and supported models but does not operate or bill your personal provider account.
4. Managed cloud time
Eligible accounts may receive one ten-minute promotional grant. The owner may also issue through the independent web portal an expiring six-digit, no-charge support code that one portal account can use once; the code is not sold, has no cash value, and has no value after expiry or use. Purchased credit represents non-transferable service time, has no cash value, cannot be redeemed or transferred, and does not expire while the account remains active. Managed conversation, article generation, translation, compression, and speech use the same cost-normalized account ledger; Apple offline speech and a personal provider key do not consume LangLearn credit. Active reservations may temporarily reduce the displayed available balance.
5. Purchases and refunds
In-app purchases are processed by Apple under App Store terms. Independent web purchases are processed by PayPal. A monthly or yearly plan automatically renews at the displayed price until cancelled and adds the displayed fixed allowance after each verified payment; it is not unlimited service. You can cancel future PayPal renewals from the account portal or PayPal. Cancellation does not remove time already added. LangLearn delivers credit only after verified payment. Refunds, reversals, disputes, or chargebacks may remove unused credit and place an account on purchase hold when already-used or reserved credit cannot be removed. Deleting an account does not itself cancel an external subscription; cancel renewal first. Deleting an account makes unused credit inaccessible.
6. Your content
You retain rights in documents, prompts, and conversations you provide. You grant LangLearn and its selected processing providers only the limited permission needed to perform the feature you request. You must have the right to process the content and must not use the service to violate law or another person's rights.
If a conversation can include another person, you must tell that person that cloud audio processing is active and obtain their permission before starting. Do not submit confidential or regulated content unless you have independently confirmed that the feature, provider terms, processing location, and retention are appropriate for it.
7. AI output
Generated articles, translations, corrections, and Assistant replies may be incomplete, fictional, outdated, or wrong. Review important output independently. LangLearn is a study tool and does not provide medical, legal, financial, emergency, or other professional advice.
8. Acceptable use
Do not abuse, disrupt, reverse engineer service protections, automate fraudulent trial or purchase activity, upload unlawful or harmful content, impersonate others, or use LangLearn Cloud as a general-purpose model proxy. Reasonable technical measures may limit or suspend abusive activity.
9. Availability and changes
Network, Apple, Alibaba Cloud, and PayPal dependencies can make cloud features temporarily unavailable. LangLearn may change supported models, voices, language pairs, or security controls when needed for quality, safety, compatibility, or provider changes. Existing purchased credit remains recorded in the account ledger.
10. Termination and deletion
You may stop using the app, sign out, or delete a managed account at any time. LangLearn may restrict a managed account for fraud, security abuse, payment reversal, or material violation of these terms. Account deletion follows the process described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Warranty and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability or error-free AI output. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. LangLearn is not responsible for charges or conduct in a personal provider account you control.
12. Contact and changes to terms
Questions may be sent to lzbgt@icloud.com. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after an effective change constitutes acceptance where permitted; new consent will be requested where applicable law requires it.
